Low temperature variation of the dielectric constant of the amorphous glycerol at 9.15 GHz

2014 The variation of the dielectric constant of amorphous glycerol was measured as a function of the temperature. A logarithmic variation of 039403B5/03B5 versus T is observed between 0.5 K and 3.6 K. This gives some evidence for the existence of the two level systems in glycerol with a nearly constant density of states for energies smaller than 4 K.
